October Newsletter

ROBOTICS:  Tomorrow, October 26th, the SCS Cougarbots will compete in the Humphrey Coliseum from 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.  We invite you to come watch the competition.

BASKETBALL:  Please check out the SCS basketball schedule on the school website.  Our next home game is Tuesday, October 29th.  Tickets are:  $5 for adults, $3 for students, with a family maximum charge of $15.  There is no charge for children under four or SCS graduates!   

All students may wear pink shirts to school on October 31st in honor of breast cancer awareness. 

OCTOBER 31st:  Please remember that SCS does not celebrate Halloween.  Students/parents are reminded not to bring ghosts, goblins, devils, witches, etc.  If any of these items show up at school, they will be taken to the office by the classroom teacher.  If you would like to bring a classroom treat, please check with the teacher BEFORE purchasing it.  Thank you for assisting us maintain a Christ-honoring environment.

OUTERWEAR PERMITTED IN CLASS:  Sweaters, (v-neck or cardigan), sweatshirts (without hoods), or vests in solid navy, forest green, or white with SCS logo (required). All sweaters/sweatshirts/vests require a shirt (with logo) underneath that meets dress code.  Windbreakers, fleece jackets, or other coat styles must be in solid school colors with SCS logo.  SCS team jackets and SCS letter jackets may also be worn in class.  No jackets other than those listed above may be worn in the classroom.  Please make sure your child’s name is on all of these items.  Teachers are not responsible for keeping up the items without names.  SOCKS/TIGHTS:  Girls may wear tights, stockings, or socks in solid navy blue, forest green, or white.  

Also, any water bottle, thermos, food storage container etc. that does not have a name on it will be disposed of after three days due to health concerns.
