New Family Orientation: Orientation for new families will take place at 6:00 p.m. on August 9th in the SCS cafeteria. We request that you not bring your children at this time. Mr. Witbeck will go over the Parent Handbook and you will have the opportunity to meet your child(ren)’s teacher.
Booster shots: Students entering K4 and new K5 students will need a completed Certificate of Immunization Compliance Form marked complete for school entry. Also, all students entering 7th grade will need a Tdap booster shot and updated form. The Immunization Compliance Form (K4/K5 and 7th grade) MUST be received in the office by August 7th in order for students to attend class on the first day of school.
Uniform Requirements: Polo shirts should be navy blue, forest green, or white with SCS logo. For grades K4-6 at least one forest green is required. One blue or white oxford for grades 7-12 is required for chapel and picture day. Shorts/pants should be khaki or navy in classic or traditional styles, not be tight-fitting, and come high enough for a shirt to remain tucked in at all times. They must have belt loops, and a regulation belt (black or brown leather or stretch belts in black, brown, navy or khaki) is required. (Exception: grades K-4 through 2nd grade may wear elastic waist pant with no belt). Skirts and shorts may be no shorter than 5 inches from the floor when kneeling. All outerwear worn in the classroom must meet uniform requirements.
Backpack/lunchbox: No cartoon characters are allowed on these items.
Tuition: Tuition is due on August 1st. You may make monthly payments (August-May) or you may pay in full. If you pay in full by August 1st, you will receive a $100 discount. Feel free to contact Mrs. Witbeck with any tuition payment questions. (2018-19 tuition charges are available on the website.)
Cell phones: It is our policy that elementary students not bring cell phones to school. If you need to speak to/leave a message for your student, please contact the office. Policy for students in grades 7-12 requires that all cell phones be turned off when a student arrives until they leave (including Aftercare).
