August/September Newsletter

Thank you for helping us make the first days of school a success! Because safety is of utmost importance to us, please do not bring students in grades K4-6th through the secondary line (in the parking lot) in the morning. We do not want them walking through a line of moving cars. Also, you can assist us with afternoon carpool by making sure you have your number card visible in the window.

Vision screening: Ford Vision Clinic will be doing free vision screenings for students in K-4th grade on August 23rd.

School pictures: 8th-12th grade pictures will be taken on Thursday, August 31st. These students should wear their OXFORD CLOTH shirts. On Friday, September 1st students in grades K4-7 will have their school pictures taken. They should wear their GREEN polo shirts. Senior portraits will also be taken on August 31st by Tate Photography. Senior guys will need a navy sport coat over their oxford cloth shirt. Senior Girls will have theirs taken in drapes provided. These are REQUIRED for the SCS yearbook.

Parent/Staff Communication: Communication between SCS staff and parents is important. The staff and administration will check email daily and will respond during their free/planning period. We will attempt to answer all email within a 24 hour period. Our first priority is to teach the students; therefore, we will be unable to respond at other times.   We request that you do not text or email our staff after hours when they are spending time with their families. Notes from home and in assignment pads are encouraged. If there is an emergency during school hours, please contact the office.

For up-to-date information, please join SCS Facebook.
